I don't have a lot of info yet, but one of the other students in my CNA class mentioned she's looking to rehome some llamas. From what I gathered, they're not in any threat of disposal, she just doesn't want to be feeding them anymore. She did say they were not handled, not trained. I don't know a thing about llamas, so anyone who can offer guidance, I just am compelled to offer help when animals need new homes!

Llamas are a unique animal....they are in the camel family.....they are a gentle calming animal, but not "affectionate"....often people call them "cat like" - interaction is on their terms....

They are a fairly "easy care" and inexpensive critter.....

People love them or they don't...not a critter for all homes...

When a llama is rescued.....check for health issues - but mostly for temperament...NO SPITTING and NO aggression. Rescues can be tricky because bad habits can cause major issues.....

These are a few sites to get some basic care info.....

Feel free to ask me questions....also I could let you know about some good breeders that can give you help too.....
