Roo is for sale...Val (remember her?)

It is with a heavy heart that I am placing Roo up for sale.
We have had a very difficult year. For those of you that don't know me I lost my friend to Leukemia, she left behind a nine year old daughter that I am raising now. Jen loves horses and wants more than anything to show with my daughter, Carson. so now I have double the cost of everything, from lessons to clothing. We had been leasing a show pony but I cannot afford to do that at this point. I kept hoping we would find a pony that we could purchase for the girls to both enjoy, I never thought it would happen and it did, I am bringing him home monday. His owner is an angel who is allowing me to make payments on him monthly while the girls enjoy him every day.
As much as I don't want to part with Roo I can't afford to keep her. I already have my senior gelding with arthritis I won't part with out of the fear of where he could end up. Roo on the other hand is stunning. She is a solid Dunn APHA(reg# 198,679) double registered with ABHA her sire is Sonny Super Star and her *** is Reds Sensation. Roo had spent a few years before we owned her as a broodmare and was a wonderful mom. She stands 15H and is a tank.
She is my trail horse, my partner. we have spent years riding together and she has always been as safe as they come. She is indeed Bomb-proof. I am so sad I have to part with her but I know someone will end up with a truly wonderful mare that has many more years of trails ahead of her. She can do 4H as well and enjoys herself. Carson has started jumping and it's not something Roo is very good at and I don't believe in asking her to do something she doesn't enjoy.
I am asking 1500 neg to the perfect home. Carson is hoping someone will send photo's so they can see her and know she is okay. If anyone would like futher photo's or information please let me know. thank you, Kris

She is truly a one of a kind horse. Her price just floors me, she looks and sounds like a more expensive horse. But, I know as well as you do, the market is not there. I hope she finds the perfect home. Good Luck.

I have her priced far below her value, I know. My thought is that I know there is a wonderful family no different than me, who can't afford a high priced horse but can provide a wonderful home and that is much more important than the dollars in my pocket...Don't get me wrong I need the money to pay off Carson's pony. but not at Roo's expense.
Val I would be thrilled if you wanted Roo, all kidding aside, I would be happy to meet you half way somewhere to bring her to you, I couldn't imagine a better home...and updates for Carson.....just a thought.
I know you would adore her, her photo's don't do her justice....

I talked to Pat and she said he is too far away.. Everyone is laid off where he is but him and one other man - so he can't take any time off for a trip that far.. sigh..

But I absolutely love her - always have.. She is gorgeous - sweet and sane..

Roo is 18, her birthday is April 8, 1991. She was bred in Michigan, owned by a vet and was a cow horse back in the day. she rides both english and western.
She has never been sick, lame or required any special supplements or care.
Roo goes barefoot year round but I put front shoes on her a few weeks ago because some of the new trail rides have been on some rough ground and I was worried about her getting a stone bruise.
She is the definition of an easy keeper.
She eats no grain but in the winter when they are stalled at night I give her a hand full so she doesn't feel left out while the others eat. she gets 3 flakes of alfalfa mix hay in the am and pm. When she is stalled she loves to dunk her hay it's actually funny to watch her stick a mouth full of hay in the bucket and then eat it! She is spoiled and groomed daily. She falls asleep every time, she loves to be fussed over.

She is beautiful!!! I so wish she was closer to me. Looks like she would be perfect for my mom.
